DEIMOS Imaging's team is mainly composed by young people with a higher technical training but with an extensive experience in remote sensing and information technologies fields. That assures that your services are in the best hands. Unlike other companies of the sector, we stand out due to our own image resources, effectively endorsing us as reliable company with capacity to operate its own information system and with the ability to control all the production chain by means of the vertical integration of the operations. That allows to DEIMOS Imaging to offer a guarantee for all its products and an ongoing commitment. DEIMOS Imaging's CEO is Pedro Duque, first spanish astronaut, that contributes to the project with his technical excellence and his extensive experience in the spatial sector. |

DEIMOS Imaging arises from a union of strengths between two references in the aerospatial industry and the remote sensing fields, DEIMOS Space and the Remote Sensing Laboratory of the University of Valladolid (LATUV).

DEIMOS Space was founded in June 2001 by a group of 24 professionals with an extensive experience in the aerospatial sector. Since its constitution, DEIMOS Space has grown in a solid and fast way, having nowadays with more than 200 employees of which more than a 97% are Master or PhD. Since its creation has been part of several projects promoted by ESA. The quality of the products and services rendered by DEIMOS Space has provoked that currently the company enjoys great prestige inside and outside the ESA. The strength points of DEIMOS Space are: within the Ground Segment, the software development both installed in spatial platforms, or defined to operate spatial missions, spatial rubbish, mission analysis, system engineering, mission programming, etc.; together with an outstanding technology transfer department that brings near the companies and the availabe technology. | ||
As for LATUV, it was set up in 1989 and since then has been a reference institution in R&D&I in the remote sensing sector. One of the strength points is the processing of spatial information and has experience in Remote Sensing applications for agriculture, environment, forestry, fires, civil protection, fishing among other sectors. Throughout its history, the LATUV has developed a large archive that have historical data series from MSG, AVHRR and MODIS. It has its own infrastructures such as antennas to directly download data from MODIS, MSG, NOAA's and FENGYUN's satellites as long as a highly qualified human team, that have developed automatic processing chains for most of the cases. |
