The Panama Canal is an artificial channel constructed in the early twentieth century which allows shipping by joining the Atlantic and Pacific oceans. So far, through the channel, ships of more than 400 meters long and 50 meters wide could not navigate. Thanks to a revolutionary new engineering work led by Sacyr, this is now possible.
This milestone will increase the cargo transported between countries and generate additional benefits for the Republic of Panama .
The image, taken by Deimos-1 satellite, shows in detail the complexity of the area and the need of this great work.
