DEIMOS-2 Image of the Week (acquired 24/4/2015): Calbuco volcano, Chile

This image shows the volcano Calbuco situation the day after its second eruption, occurred on 23 April 2015. 
The Calbuco volcano in southern Chile started erupting on Wednesday 22 of April, for the first time in more than 40 years. Thousands of people within a 20 km radius of the volcano have been evacuated. In its latest update, Chile’s National Mining and Geology Service said volcanic activity was finally diminishing, but a state of emergency remains for a 15 kilometers area close to the volcano.
