DEIMOS-2 Image of the Week (acquired on 14/5/2015): La Algaida
This image features La Algaida, Doñana, Spain. The next 23th October in Sevilla, will be held the XVI Meeting of the Spanish Remote Sensing Association in parallel with the International Symposium on wetland conservations. The conference will be on the behalf of the Estación Biológica de Doñana-CSIC and the Asociación Española de Teledetección. The purpose of this sixteenth edition is to promote th meeting between the academic and business community as well as managers of protected areas, with special emphasis on wetlands. Remote Sensing imagery are an essential tool to study the spatial and temporal dynamics of natural systems, especially those as dynamic as wetlands and in the future will become an indispensable ally of management. Wetlands are fragile and dynamic ecosystems sensitive to changes in climate and land-use, and rich in biodiversity. In this context, Deimos-2 imagery plays a key role.
