This image features the beautiful landscape south of Nuuk, in Greenland. Nuuk, Greenland’s capital, is a small city on the country’s southwest coast. Its large fjord system includes waterfalls, whales and icebergs. Nuuk is the Kalaallisut word for “cape“. The name is related to the city’s position at the end of the Nuup Kangerlua fjord on the eastern shore of the Labrador Sea.
